Ingredients:

For the Chicken Marinade:

  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

  • ½ teaspoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for brushing)

  • Lemon wedges
  • Fresh coriander leaves

Instructions:

Step 1: Marinate the Chicken

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, mustard oil, and kasuri methi.
  2. Add the chicken cubes and mix well to coat evenly.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best flavor).

Step 2: Cooking Methods

1. Grilling (Traditional Method):

  1. Preheat a grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
  2. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers.
  3. Grill for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing with butter for extra flavor.

  2. Place the marinated chicken on a baking tray lined with foil.

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan on medium heat.
  2. Cook the chicken pieces for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until golden and cooked through.

Step 3: Serve

  • Sprinkle chaat masala over the chicken.
  • Garnish with sliced onions, lemon wedges, and coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with mint chutney and naan.
